Standard Test Method for Brinell Hardness of Metallic Materials

All of our Standardized Brinell Hardness Test Blocks come certified to applicable standards. A strict procedure for the calibration of these standardized Brinell Hardness Test Blocks, and the accuracy of the tester is maintained using a proving ring and load cell both traceable to N.I.S.T. The readings themselves are done using a stage micrometer also calibrated and traceable to N.I.S.T.
The United TRU-BLUE Rockwell Hardness Tester is computer controlled (closed loop) application of forces are via load cell measurement. The Tester has a 4 x 20 bright vacuum fluorescent display. Front panel controls with Piezo-Electric switches. Auto self-test and last test setup recall at startup. Removable parts clamp used to secure irregular shaped or oversize test specimens. Logical setup and operating menu from front panel keys. Throat depth is 5.5 inches. Optional 9.5 inch throat depth is available.

The United Hammer Brinell Impact Hardness Tester PHB-1 is economical and easy to use. It applies force to the Indenter by the operator using a Hammer or Clamping Device. The force applied is controlled using a calibrated shear pin. When the load applied reaches the shear pin's limit, the shear pin breaks.
