Electronics

Several key performance indicators of electronics involve the use of force measurement. Components must be soldered or otherwise joined such that the assembly withstands the rigors of time and mechanical stresses. Individual components, printed circuit boards, wiring, and finished assemblies are tested in virtually every industry, from aerospace to consumer products to medical devices. Typical applications include tensile, bend, pull-off, shear, adhesive/bond, peel, delamination, and other forces to help ensure product performance and reliability.

EXAMPLES:

►Switch Force Activation, ►PCB Bend Testing, ►Wire Crimp Pull Testing, ►Component Pull-Off Testing, ►Component Shear Testing, ►Peel Strength, ►Keypad Testing, ►Connector Insertion/Withdrawal Force.

The ESM 303 Motorized Force Measurement Test Stands are a versatile and precise testing solution for most tension and compression testing applications up to 300 lbf. (1.5 kN) for laboratory and production environments. The Test Stands can perform a wide variety of tests, including break testing, cycling, limit testing to a load distance and more. Speed is adjustable in up and down directions and a remote control unit provides added safety during testing. Other features include a manual fine adjustment knob and a stepper motor that prevents speed variation with load, making testing precise and repeatable. Use this Test Stand with any Mark-10 Force Gauge and grips to create a complete testing solution.
The United Digital Speedy Tester Model LCH-10 - 50 kN,  LCH-20 - 100kN, LCH-30 - 150kN and LCH-60 - 300 kN are hydraulic testing machines incorporating a highly accurate, built-in digital information system for the display of test data. Designed to perform a variety of tests, the versatile, easy-to-use Speedy Tester can be fitted with various types of grips and fixtures to accommodate a wide range of materials and applications. The Speedy is a Tension Tester, outfitted with a compression cage it can also perform compression tests.
The TSFM-DC is a Motorized Force Test Stand designed for tension and compression testing of springs, packaging, metals, fabrics and other items requiring up to 500 lbf (2,200 N) of force. Generous clearance and throat depth accommodate a broad range of sample shapes and sizes. The durable and rigid column minimizes bend, making it particularly well suited for spring testing. Use this Test Stand with any Mark-10 Force Gauge and grips to create your complete testing solution.
The WT3-201M motorizes Wire Crimp Pull Tester is designed to measure the pull-force of up to 200 lbf (1 kN) for wire and tube terminations. The Tester accommodates wire sizes up to AWG 3 (0.25 in (6.3 mm) OD, or custom sizes via the available machine able blank fixture. Auto-start automatically begins the test when the wire sample has been loaded. When the sample breaks, the tester can auto-reverse, output the break force, store the peak force, and zero the display automatically, thereby increasing testing through output. Further testing efficiency is achieved via the available Profiles function, through which multiple test setups may be saved and recalled as required.
The MicroStar Ultrasonic Portable Hardness Tester Model SU-300 is designed to test hardness of metals on flat, round, thin or large surfaces.
Scope of application, testing of hardness of small or thin samples and small areas of larger samples.
