SERVICE/CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN

Status: Full-time, Permanent

Position Overview:

United Testing Systems Canada Ltd. has an opening for a full-time, detail-oriented field service/calibration technician, servicing and calibrating both hardness and tensile testers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Preparing equipment for field calibrations and travelling to customer sites.
• Performing service and calibration duties.
• Generating calibration/service reports.
• Performing other laboratory/warehouse tasks as required.
• Timely reporting of issues to management

Position Qualifications & Requirements:

• Successful completion of post-secondary education in instrumentation, electromechanical, mechanical engineering, metrology and calibration, or a related discipline.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Fluency in English is required.  Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in computer and software skills, with a strong emphasis on MS Office, particularly Excel. Visual Basic programming experience would be an asset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
• Must be bondable.
• Must be legally entitled/eligible to work in Canada.
• Must have a valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract.
